VISITOR POLICIES and INFORMATION for SNOWMAN’S REINDEER FARM
By purchasing tickets to visit, you agree abide by the policies, guidelines, terms and conditions listed below. We reserve the right to refuse service or ask anyone to leave the property who is not following the farm guidelines, terms and conditions, being abusive to the animals or staff or is disrupting the operations of the farm in any way with their behavior.
Visitors can cancel and reschedule their reservations (based on availability) up to 24 hours prior to their scheduled visit (links are in the confirmation email sent after making a reservation). Less than 24 hours Prior to Appointment Time: No Refund
BIOSECURITY FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR ANIMALS:
•All visitors are required to sanitize shoes upon entry.
The foot bath is an industrial tray that you walk through so the bottom of your shoes are sterilized. This is liquid and does contain bleach. If children step through, allow them to walk off the solution before picking them up or ask the gate biosecurity person to give you a paper towel to dry. You may also request to wipe the bottom of your shoes with the spray solution on a paper towel instead of stepping through the bath if you have delicate shoe material that might be damaged by bleach contact.
•All visitors are required to sanitize hands. Hand-sanitizer is provided upon entry and throughout the property. Visitors are required to sanitize hands before and after feeding or touching animals.
•Summertime baby reindeer visits require TWO sanitization stations: front gate and at baby pen.
VISITOR BEHAVIOR POLICIES:
•Visitors will treat all animals, staff and property with respect and kindness.
•Visitors will take extra care not to reach or throw objects into the animal habit areas and dispose of all trash in designated receptacles.
•Visitors will interact with animals (includes petting and feeding) with the direction and guidance of staff.
•Visitors will not bring outside food or drinks into the farm.
•Visitors will maintain a smoke and vape-free environment everywhere on the property, including the parking lots.
•Visitors will stay in designated common areas of the property.
•Visitors provide supervision of all children under the age of 18 in their group.
•Snowman's Reindeer Farm is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property, any lost and found items are taken to the front gate at the Ticket Booth.
Pets are NOT allowed inside the entrance gate of Snowman’s Reindeer Farm. Service animals are allowed, but visitors are to alert the Ticket Booth Attendant upon arrival, who will contact one of the farm owners to give you special assistance. Reindeer are prey animals and see dogs as a predator. Donkeys naturally view dogs as a threat as well. Both reindeer and mini donkeys can become extremely frightened and hurt themselves trying to get away from other animals. To keep our animals safe and calm, service animals will not be able to enter the reindeer barn or donkey barn where the spaces are tight, and our animals are in a confined space for exhibition. All other areas of the farm are suitable for service animals: the main pasture (reindeer visible, but not confined), outdoor game areas, Gift Shop, Visitor Center, Snack Bar and Train Depot.
PETTING AND FEEDING ANIMALS:
•The happiness of our animals comes first. We don’t force our animals to do anything they don’t want to do. Most of the time they willingly interact with visitors and enjoy the contact. Occasionally they smell or sense something they don’t like and will back up. They also do not respond well to yelling or screaming, so keep in mind that gentle inside voices will improve your opportunities for interaction.
•Due to the factors mentioned above, we do not guarantee petting or feeding.
•Our farm staff will provide animal feed (no extra charge) and guidance for interacting with animals.
•All Visitors will assume liability and responsibility for safety, including minors in their group.
Please be advised that food and animal feed served at Snowman’s Reindeer Farm may contain these ingredients: milk, eggs, wheat, soybean, peanuts, tree nuts.

WEATHER and DRESSING FOR YOUR VISIT:
All exhibits and activities at Snowman's Reindeer Farm are under roof via a barn or pavilion. Buildings are close together. We do monitor weather daily, but generally do not cancel or close the farm unless there is extreme weather such as ice or heavy snow accumulation that would make it impossible for our staff to provide safe surfaces for walking. We do not close the farm or provide refunds for those who choose not to come due to rain.
•If visiting in winter, dress in layers. Our buildings are covered, but mostly open air.
•Comfortable shoes are recommended.
•Some lines are possible during the holiday season so be sure to bring warm coverings for head, ears, and hands.
